oversize bars xr650r

hi all ,
silly question
i want to order a set of oversize bars (Fat bars) but am not sure if this means i have to change all the handlebar controls etc

Nope, you just have to change the bar clamps for OS bars :ride:

I just put a set of oversized Pro Tapers with a standard 7/8" to 1 1/8" conversion on the stock triple clamps. With my Clark 4.3 tank the Pro Taper pad hits the top part of the tank that sticks up. Without the pad the bars come within a hair of hitting.

Is this normal? I am on the list for the tripleclamp sub-mounts in this forum so hopefully that will push them forward a good amount.
