Broken Chain

Recommended Posts

i've never heard of it happening, but :

how many k's (miles) on it ?

is your rear suspension set a little soft maybe ? (LOTS of travel)

did you have a hard landing or possibly hit a decent sized rock/tree root ?

i'm just trying to ascertain as to the how and why ?

I have a friend with a Wr 426 and he has broken two chains with some case damage also. Four strokes have alot of torque and alot of engine breaking which makes them double hard on chains. I have an 04 Wr 450 and I plan on changing chains often. I hope this helps

hi Ive got a 05 wr 450 i changed sprockets &chain within 20k when new i couldn't stand the chatter of the cheap items. I replaced these with good quality t ring chain & chain gang sprockets & haven't had any problems since.
