What insurance companies are good for Dual Sports? I want to get a valid quote before I spend all the time and money to get my bike converted. My insurance on my truck is around $300 a month already. I can't afford to spend much more on insuring a bike. Any recomendations? I wanna  !

Try Markel or I think it's called Bikeline also. Mine was 50. per year for liability.

I dont know if dual sport is more expensive that sport bikes, I cant imagine that they would be. Once I turned 25 insurance for a 2000 gsxr 750 was $35 with state farm. thats full coverage with a $500 deductible, hell that was 3 years ago. Insurance on my 1999 dodge ram sport 4x4 is only $85. sounds like your either young, have a terrible driving record, or your getting boned. $300 a month is insane, unless your driving a srt10, then why worry about money....

I just got insurance for my '05 wr and dairyland or farmer's wouldn't touch me because they didn't recognize the bike. The only one in my area that would is Progressive (the liberal jagoffs that they are.) It was $45 a year for basic coverage and $144 a year for full coverage.
In reference to the above parentheses- the owner of progressive donated millions of dollars to the democrat party last year. The same party that wants to take away your trails to ride and won't be happy until everyone is walking!

Does Allstate service your area? I'm paying $110 a year for full coverage with $500 comp/collis for my plated 05 WR450.
