Which Paddle

I have an 06 yz450 and I have only been riding for 2 months. I am going to go to the dunes to El Gulfo on the beach and sand hills and was wondering what brand of Paddle tire is good and wether I should go with an 8 or 10 paddle tire... thanks.

I have an 06 450 and go to the dunes about every other week. Dude......drop in on a 10 paddle. You'll thank me later.

I'm also a believer in the 10 paddle over the 8 for 450s. However the King's Turbo Paddle is the best paddle tire period. They only come in 8 paddles, but the cups are so deep and stiff. They kick @ss over any 10 paddle by any other manufacturer. The "fins" really do help with stability too. Don't buy them if you care what the people who ride behind you will think. LOL. My buddys hate riding behind me in the dunes.

I second the kings turbo paddle. Best one i've run and they dont flake off like other brands. I've tried the 10 paddles and where i ride you dont need it. If the sand is really fine than a 10 paddle is great but if you ride in a more coarse sand a 8 paddle is fine. An 8 paddle will work good for both it just digs in too deep if the sand is really soft.

I run an AMS 10 paddle. I like it because I'm able to still spin it good, but still dig out some traction. Next I wanna try the Kings paddle, but I HATE changing paddle tires!

Definitely. Paddles tires are the worst to change. I have a 10 paddle tire, and it has worked great for me so far. The brand is Cheng Shin. Kings paddle looks pretty sweet though. may have to be my next one.

Has anyone used the Skat Trak Intimidator paddle tire? I heard that they were super tough and really hooked up!

That Kings Paddle is Sweet! Got to try one last summer and it cornered like a regular knobby! I'll never go back to a ribless paddle-2 cup loss is worth the ribs.

I use one called a Scat Trak viper on my bike, I dont believe they make it anymore but a great tire anyway. 8-paddle is the way to go, with a 10 you float too much on the sand.
