F#@*ing Snow

Recommended Posts

I can't take it anymore. I got almost 2 feet of snow on the ground with a brand new, 01 426 sitting idle. I can't take it. I am putting studs on the brand new tires and will be taking my first ride on the snowmobile trails. I gotta do it. I can't focus at work, the old lady isn't getting any and is becoming grouchy. I actually hate new stuff, it screws with my head. I have to ride it so my life can get back to normal. I hope I don't smack it up. I can't get the thing off my mind. I hope I'm not the only one this happens too.

Mike,

Don't forget me. I want to ride. I was thinking of buying the screws tonight or tomorrow night.

There's a race on Sunday that I was thinking of entering, but I'd rather go for a ride up in NH.

Riding in the snow is very much fun, so go ahead, get the studs. I recommend that. Last weekend I went to the local mx-track to try that out. I'm very unexperienced in mx, but liked it. But the curvy snowy gravel roads are the most fun. With good studs you can ride corners faster than in the summer time. So go get what you need and give the old lady some too, you both will be satisfied.

Mike,

I burned the belt in my snowblower on Saturday. I have that 2 feet of snow still in my driveway! The new 4X is great in my driveway, my little blue Eclipse ain't so hot though. Hopefully, I can get my belt tonight (Tues) and finish this f-ing driveway!

Marty,

I wish I could pack up and ride some place nice and dry, but I can't right now.

Riding in the snow is AWSOME. I only do it at night. Its colder and the snow reflects light. Maby some day I will make it out west. I have a sister company out there. Maby I can make a buisness/pleasire trip next year.

The bottom line is we all have to ride, no matter where we live and the conditions we live in. It is our freedom, our soul, our life. I planned on putting the bike away for the winter, but I can't. I won't ride as much, but it will keep the major itch at bay untill summer. I love the sport and it is great to have a site full of people that feel the same way.

Let it Snow, let it melt, let the sun shine, ride it all.

I got the tires along my previous bike, Hva TE410, which got stolen. Luckily ít was fully insured, like my current bike too. Owner of the Hva was an enduro racer and had bought the tires from the importer I think. I don't think that studding tires is very common here in Finland because studded tires well available in bike stores.

I've just bought used studded Trelleborgs and is actually longing for some snow and ice. I have tried a bike fitted with studded tires once before and it is a blast! I recommend everyone which has snow to buy studded tires...

Being a past resident of NY. (6 yrs), and ME. (13 yrs), I can feel for you guys stuck with the snow. If it makes you feel any better, I've had my new WR426F since December 16th and have one ride on it.....and NO snow! I think this may be worse than being snowed in. At least 4 feet of snow is a physical barrier.. The weather has been pretty good, but other obligations leave me unable to get up in the hills. Next weekend will probably be a blizzard...sod's law.... Bit of positive forethought there.
