I recently bought an LED tail/brake light along with a hydraulic pressure switch from http://www.wheelingc...com/index.shtml

The setup is clean and everything fits inside the existing lens.

I purchased Part Number D45-DTL-9110. It bolts right in where the existing rubber fingers hang down off the stock bulb setup.

Here's the pictures from the LED install.

Wiring was simple.

Black on the LED to Green on the XR650R
Yellow on the LED to Brown on the XR650R
Red on the LED to the Hydraulic Brake switch
Other lead from the Hydraulic Brake Switch to Brown on the XR650R

I can't find the part number you are listing. It shows a model for-
1-KLX/TTR
2-'03 XR250
3-Lucas
4-UFO/Acerbis

Didn't see it elsewhere.

I'm sure it's the part for the 03' XR250.

Call and ask for Forrest.

I too had some trouble finding the part. I think I narrowed it down to these four?

I am very interested in doing this since I broke my baja designs.

Sorry, I should have clarified. It's the "Inner Kit" that you need to be looking for.

It is just a 12 LED Assy that fits inside the lens. It comes with the bracket, connectors and hardware to mount inside the existing lens.

I agree
Here is the manufacture. Now find somebody who can translate Japanese and contact them to find out if there are any other dealers in the USA

motochris,

I ordered mine earlier today, and a little while later Forrest called to explain that the shipping quote was incorrect, probably due to an incorrect weight being used by the automatic shipping calculator. He said it would be somewhere around $5 (can't remember the exact amount) to ship the LED tail/brake light to San Diego.

That makes more sense...I'll just call them. Thanks.

I was charged $4.50 shipping.

If shipping was as much as the parts, I NEVER would have posted this. The whole setup was cheap, quick to install and just what I wanted. Plus, they were very helpful.

I called and spoke with Forrest directly. They hope to have the shipping calculator fixed in a day or so. He said shipping would be less than $5 to me, so I ordered the parts. Thanks for the heads up, they seem like good guys.

Don't know. He said he'd send me one to try out so I'm sure I could have returned it. This part is for the XR250R so they should be close.
