Does the 2006 YZ450F have it?

Has anyone every cut it?

And does it really add power?

from what i've read the mod you are talking can only be done on 98-99 yzf 400's and 00-02 yzf 426's. i think yamaha fixed the problem after that so you don't have one on your 450..

I had a 2003 Wr450F. Cutting the grey wire on that particular model gave you a YZ cdi map. It is a well documented subject in the WR archives.

I am unaware of any such mod on the 2006 YZ450F or WR models.

All US model WRs have the grey wire.
NO YZxxxF has the grey wire.
Some of the newer Canadian WRs have it... dunno about Euro or Oz.
