Rode last weekend with my cousin (RM 250). We swapped off bikes all weekend and it was nice to ride a 250 again,it had been a long time.

He must have commented 25 times "Thats it ,I'm getting a 4-stroke" He's a better rider than me and it was cool to ride behind my DRZ and see him wear it out.

We did a bunch of drag races and after a few good launches by both of us we agreed that the DRZ IS FASTER,we would be side by side until 4th gear and then I could pull away easily.

I'd like to have a 250 again but would not give up the DRZ for one. Every time I suggested switching bikes he wouldn't hesitate one second.

At the end of the weekend the water pump seal on his RM let go(we think),all the coolant went into the crankcase(we know) and goodbye brand new top end(without a doubt).

I think a new 4-stroke will be in cous's shed by the end of the week.

back when the yzf400 came out(the bike that converted me)it was fun converting 2 stroke riders,especially when you race down a dirt road and pull it up in 4th and say goodbye :lol: :lol: :thumbsup: :ride:

I like 2 strokes, I have a chainsaw and a brush cutter :p
