Torque Specs Spreadsheet

I like having information in one easy to find and use place, so I created a spreadsheet that lists all the torque specs that are commonly needed. I hope this will be of use...especially to those folks who don't have a service manual yet. I'm anal, deal with it.

I'd like folks to look it over and suggest any changes or errors. Also, there is a notes field that has little bits of information that would be perfect for adding any tips or misc information. I also added a loctite color field that is incomplete. Feel free to download and change Maybe we can get one circulating that will consolidate lots of the great information that is repeatedly being requested in this forum. Also, the file hosting site I used is new to me, but it doesn't require registration and there is no cost. If anyone has a better one to use, I'd like to know.

UPDATE: Scratch the above. I still have the file, but I need a place to put it so others can get to it...suggestions. The site I tried does not allow Excel spreadsheets.

It's a great idea, but...

I suggest that you create a version of the chart in a more common format which can be universally viewed by a lot more people, like a .jpg or .pdf file.

I thought about that, but I like the idea of people being able to edit it for their own use. Also, I think Microsoft offers a free Excel viewer utility.

Yes, believe it or not. I figure accessiblity to all is a good thing, and that would include people with old, shared, or very outdated PCs, and ancient operating systems.

It matters not to me personally, I'm running the latest version of XP at home.

If you convert that chart to a simple .jpeg, no one is excluded from instantly viewing it, even if they live in the middle of a jungle and are using a Commodore 64.

Simply offer a .jpeg or .gif option, along with the spread-sheet.
