ok so i've read that some people have problems fitting them on the s and sms?

I know its for an E But whats so diffrent the mid mount?

If so, what will i have to do exactly to make it fit? Im still waiting on my jet kit and filter so i have some time to figuer it out :-p

So does it fit? or not, if not, do i just have to make an extended bracket? oh, btw its going on an 06 400sm

thanks guys.

they fit.you use the lower passenger foot peg bracket bolt for the mid pipe mount.drill the threads and use a longer bolt.

you use the hole behind the stock muffler mount to mount the yosh clamp.

"frill" = drill in burnedspeak

My main problems were (1) clearance between bottom of left radiator and the headpipe and (2) the spring rubbing the pipe. The first problem was solved with a couple of light taps on the bottom of the rad with a hammer. The second was addressed by grinding the backside of the subframe tab in order to move the pipe out away from the spring.

Its because you haven't beat on your drz as much as others. Things chance position when you crash hard.

I don't think the FMF kit includes the recommended #25 Pilot Jet

If you haven't finished yet you can see the "where" by looking at my bike(amongst others) in the garage section. I ended up with 1/4" of spacer (washers) between lower bolt of subfame and main frame,so that midpipe would clear shock spring and the engine.

Mine ended up being aprox.15 mm long. Thickness of foot peg bracket + the makeup on the Yosh - a fuzz to keep from bottoming against the pipe itself. I think it's an 8mm dia. bolt, don't quote me, I used one from my bins, don't remember if I shortened it or not.
