I ordered a full Yoshimura RS3 exhaust, a jet kit, and the FCR MX39 carb as associatted parts as every recommended.

Exhaust will be here tomorrow. I have no idea about the carb. Is it ok to go ahead do the 3x3mod and drive it around. Will it be running too lean? Should be awhile before I put the carb in and I assume rejetting is just as hard as changing the carb because don't you have to pull it out to rejet anyway?

Thanks.

You are going to have to re jet if you put the pipe on. You are going to have to pull the carb of to re jet. It can be done on the bike but I would just take it off. What jet kit did you order? I would put the pipe on, do the 3x3 and re jet the stock carb if the FCR is going to take w while to come in. I couldn't have new parts sitting around. I have to put the on right away.

I'm far from an expert around here, but I think you will be incredibly lean if you change your pipe and do the 3x3 with no carb work. I'd wait.

Well I went ahead and cut the air hole 3x3! Pretty freaky mangling a week old bike but it's all good. I also did a home Dremel job to make a Fender Eliminator until I find a suitable one (hate the UFO). How's it look?

It's a perfect 3x3 hold that I cut with a Dremel and a diamond cutter wheel. I tried a couple of things but plastic really likes to friggin melt. I stuffed some papertowls under the whole to collect all the little plastic shavings.

Looks like the exhaust will be here tomorrow. The carb and jet kit not until next week. I will hold off on the exhaust till the carb and jet kit get here i guess so I don't blow up the bike running it to lean. Should be ok with just the airbox mod for now though... correct?

Thanks again.
