I have just recently completed the install of a MCCT. After inspection of the stock unit I can see how it can prematurely stretch the cam chain. My question is....the chain is going to stretch from normal use..how do you know that it is time to adjust? I can see this being a gradual thing and that maybe you wouldn't notice the need to readjust immediately? Is there a chance of the chain skipping a tooth when this happens or when the chain starts to loosen? Will the cam chain skip a tooth if the MCCT is in place but maybe running a little on the loose side of adjustment? Does most everyone just readjust every 6 months to a year? or does the cam chain stretch very little once the stock tensioner is removed?

Adjust when it starts to rattle, mine is now 7500 miles in, has not been touched, except when installing a Hot Cam about 700 miles ago, but it was not rattling when removed.

When it starts to rattle, like Neil said. Never had to adjust mine, yet.

Neil,
I'm doing the Hot Can install this week. Did you have to remove the MCCT or just back it out? :excuseme:
Thanks...

Which ever is easiest for you, I removed it as that was easier, but I do not have an Oil Separator in the way.
