Have there been any changes on the WR450F from 2003 to 2006?

I've decided I'm going to buy a WR450F, I've priced new ones and I've found 3 used ones, 1-2003 and 2-2004.... All 3 of these bikes have less then 1,000 miles or less then 10 hrs.... I can save around $2,00.00 by buying one of these used bikes... So my question is, Has Yamaha changed anything from 2003 to 2006 and is there any good reason to spend the extra money on a new bike, "other then, that I can have a new bike that no one else has riden"?

In a nutshell:

04 is same basic bike as 03 except for larger diameter forks, starter mod upgrade, and other small changes. Believe both models are red sticker in CA.

2005 has lower CG, lower seat height than 04, different exhaust can, and comes with AIS which makes it a green sticker. 2006 is same as 05 with more minor improvements (different triple clamp, new electronic trip computer, etc.). Supposed to feel less top heavy and handle better due to lower CG.

Just going off memory, use "search" as SC suggested to verify............

What this guy is saying is the 2005/2006 bikes are better, with the 2006 being the best.

A mechanic friend of mine who used to work for Yamaha says the 05 and 06 Wr 450 are excellent bikes, better than ever. He now wrenches for Kawa-Honda dealership. There goes my connection for a new WR450  Anyway, he rides a KTM 450 and admits the new WR is the way to go!
