I have a short tongue on my trailer, so mounting it there does not work. i also am perplexed where to mount the tire. i did look underneith, but have yet to devise a simple way of mounting it; its a full size 15"

Mounted mine inside high up on the wall towards the back of the trailer.

Gotta START

Picked up a new 7x14 for $3100

Posted Image

Just the basics: 3/4" plywood floor, dexter axles, PLYWOOD sides (not luane)

Posted Image

Posted Image

Added some e-track

Posted Image

And the first round of wheel chocks

Posted Image

Didn't like a permanent mounted chock so try # 2

Posted Image

Along with a closet/cabinet up front and an EZ-up/chair "box"

Posted Image

Posted Image

Time for sleep mode!!!

Insulated the walls and ceiling, threw my cot in for me....

Posted Image

Then made some "bunks" for my homies

Makes for a GREAT basecamp! Installed a fire extinguisher, co sensor and portable cabin heater and we withstood upper 20's just fine this weekend at Brushy!

OH...didn't get pics yet but round 3 wheel chocks are the best so far

I went with THESE with the optional Quick Release and that works SO much better than anything so far!

Next is cabinets up high for dry goods, lighting, then I'll either paint the interior white and put in a ceiling, or carpet the walls like my buddy Dans trailer

THAT would damper the sound of my snoring a little better for my buddies

Yeah if you'd have TOLD me about the carpet I would have thought you were a little cracked :smirk: but having seen it.....and experienced the sound absorption and how it warmed up the space...I'm a believer

Nice color choice.... :o)

Camping in the wide open is my favorite thing too!

Before you add the ceiling, seal up all the gaps around the foam to mitigate condensation. It's a big help. I used some sort of metallic tape which worked out really well. Got it at Home Depot.

Carpet on the walls? Hmmm... it comes in lots of colors and would definitely help with the echos. Cool idea. You've got me thinking now...

Very Nice! What brand trailer is that? I just picked up a brand new 2010 Wells Cargo TC Trecker in a 7x12 and it looks really similar.

This might sound kinda stupid but im new to the trailer setup thread community.... But when you guys install etrac to the walls, are you putting bolts into the metal framing in the walls? what kind of screws/bolts do you use to do this? i would like to do something like castertroy did in the above pics where he can hold bunks with etrac and support a person. What about heavy oil/helmet racks in the wall?,, same thing? And if you put etrac in the floor do you guys ever drill into the frame?

Ive gotten some great ideas here and plan on designing mine soon. Someone please reply!!!!

Also, how difficult is it to install insulation?? what kind is good to use and where can you get it?,,around much does it cost?
