What do you think for 2007???

Recommended Posts

Its 2 weeks till the Japanese national in Sugo. So what do you guys think is coming for next year?

I definitely see at least one manufacturer upping the ante and releasing EFI!! I can see the YZF250 getting a new motor and maybe some new technology and plastic for the YZ250.

Carmichael's RMZ last year was fuel injected because it was the manufacturer's exempt bike. Fuel injection is coming but who is second is anybody's guess since Cannondale did it first and that was an awesome bike.

How about some bold new graphics?

well, i sure would like to know. I want a 450 within the next two years but i definately dont want the first year bike. I guess ill have to wait and see. If 07 has EFI, illl be buying an 08. If 08 has EFI, ill buy and 07 or wait til 09 for yamaha to get rid of the bugs.

Fuel injected would be nice especially for guys like me who haven't got a clue about all this jetting stuff..

Agree, it would make things much easier. But if you send me flight tickets, I'll be happy to come and rejet for you. Besides, I need vacation from this nordic winter. ?

You are welcome here Sureblue. And I am pretty sure you will like the weather. For the next couple of months at least.. Hope you don't mind if I ask you to spring for your own tickets. I am on a budget... :bonk::confused:? But for some rejetting I will be happy to give you a place to stay and even take you out in the desert...

All I forsee coming is a HIGHER MSRP$$$ , and more dealers that want to stick you in your ass for assembly and destination charges. on top of that god awful california sales tax. and registration.

Im still not sold on the 5 speed tranny.. its a lot of extra shifting thats not necessary. Id love to see it go back to a 4 speed with a gold X ring chain titanium front and rear shock springs I DONT want to see EFI. thats just a whole new hassle with programmers and power commanders and crap thats not necessary. and extra weight from added gizmos and electronics, along with my sentements on keep the E starters on the WR and the TTR no more added weight. id love to see a YZ 450 come in at like 202 #'s that would be sick. so would white plastics.... Please keep the pro taper bars Yamaha.. you finally are going the right direction.

Now if you can light a fire under chad reeds ass that is what i really want to see for 2007.. cause that boy is getting slow..

Have you ridden an 06 450?

I had a sweet 05 which has a closer feeling gearbox than the 04 because of the primary ratio change and it took 30 min for me do decide that I needed one all along, as it turns out i should have bought a 02 Honda 450 with a 5 speed.
