I have a problem with getting the bolt out of the swingarm.I am needing to put the motor out to put a new timing chain, piston and rings in and the one bolt that holds the swingarm on is stuck. I have bet the living crap out of it to try to get the bolt to break lose. Now the bolt is split and expanded . Does anyone have any ideal on have to get this bolt out? I thought about trying to cut the bolt out between the case and the swingarm. Any problems with doing that?

If it really comes down to it, I'm sure you could drill it out...careful though

This is a case of lack of maintenance!

You have to grease the bearings. You did not and they seized then wore into the swingarm bolt. Thus the problem you have. You will have to cut it out now.

I've rebuilt my top end twice without pulling the motor. But, anyways, have you tried a little heat? A little heat can help a bunch on frozen up nuts and bolts.

Do you have to take it apart to grease them?

if you can get your hands on a porta-power that would work or i heard of a guy threading the inside of the bolt and threading a bolt into it and using a puller. remember when you get it out and install the new one, use anti-sieze on it and you wont have this trouble again.

Yes you need to disassemble and grease all of the swing arm and linkage bearings

OK I had to cut the bolt out . I used a body saw because the blade fit between the case and swingarm with out cutting anything else. I got the motor out but having problems getting the rest of the bolt out of the frame/swingarm. I have tried a little heat but that really didn't seem to do anything.

I am going to do this on my used 426 and hope to God that I don't have this problem. Seems like a pain in the a$$. Not sure if that portapower will work on a cut bolt but I have heard that thing rocks frozen bolts. Look into that.
