83 XL600 counter shaft seal replacement

Hey everyone, I own a XL600 I bought new in 83, its been a great reliable bike, but the other day it was sitting at idle and all of a sudden oil starts pours out behind the counter shaft sprocket, luckily I got it shut down in time I hope. What kind of a job is this to change and where is the best and cheapest place to get parts for this bike? Thanks for your help...

on 650r's you can pop it out, pop a new right in. its longer to take off countershaft sprocket and put back on, than it takes to do the seal. I'd buy the seal from honda but you can get at like a{ king bearing} if you take the number off the old seal
