I want some more meat up front. I like the 48 mm inverted on my buddies KTM. Can it be done on the BRP. Where can I get them? I've gone somewhat mod crazy.....BECAUSE OF ALL YOU GUYS!!

Check out Emig Racing .com He may have a triple clamp for you. After that I would just use the whole front end off the KTM. May have to switch Brake Master cylinder?

Yes, several people already have. It can even be done to the XR650L. I adapted the XR steering stem to fit a pair of CRF triples.

It's an ALOOP tank-seat-shouds combo. Around $500. Search Aloop.

Forks are 45mm Marzoochi that fit CRF450 triples. Custom spacers are needed to fit the XR steering stem into the CRF triples. Front hub is a CR250. Forks and triples were from ebay. I had my front wheel relaced with the new hub by ECW.

Wait till you see the next XR650L I am building this summer. 50mm forks and a 180 rear tire with dual exhaust.

Tank was designed for the XR600R, requires mods (welding fab) to fit the XRL. Tank holds 2 gallons. I fill up on the way to and from work, a gallon at a time. I am a slave to fashion.

So if I had a front end from like an 89 CR250 It should bolt up to the XR650L, but you'd have to have a wheel/hub from the CR as well??

I put KX250 forks on my 650R so I would imagine you can do it on an L with about the same parts. I used an RTT stabilizer/top clamp and an Emig KX lower clamp

This is a picture of it

Great thread guys! We should try to gather the info for this mod for everyone. My friend is a machinist and bought YZ250 USD forks off ebay for his KLR 650, but ran out of time this winter to finish. I'd like to put some beefy forks on my 02 XRL - Any suggestions???
