Hey Kyle
I'm pretty sure this has been done but not sure what type of carb it was.
If the throttle cables are on the left side it would make things easier as carbs with it right side are harder see here
I'm not going too far & like it on here  Maybe i should re-join the TT-R250 site though?

Hey thanks for the link... I hadn't even thought about the cabling. The cables on the xr250 carb are on the left side though.

I may hang on to it and think about it. Definitely a tight squeeze in the TTR250... I was looking into removing the top shock mount and geez... its tight in there!

Worked on my axle and spacers last night... got them all shiny and cleaned up, ready for the bearings when they arrive today or tomorrow. Then I went to install the chain guide that goes over the front of the swingarm. Dang... looks like the swingarm has to come off to get it installed. I sure hope the swingarm pivot bolt isn't as rusted in as the rear axle was! I suppose I may as well check/lube all of the swingarm linkage bearings while I'm in there...

No problem... I got good at finding sprocket sources a few years ago when I started racing flattrack in the vintage classes. Had to find creative ways to get gearing for a '73 Yamaha dt250 and a '79 Honda xr250... Search out your sprocket on JT's website, then plug the JT sprocket number into an ebay search and it would come up for all kinds of bikes. Not the ttr250 front though, seems pretty exclusive! I should probably buy a 13t and 14t while they are available... lol!

Glad the machine shop got your axle fixed up... and no charge? Cool...
Here you go this will help for rear sprockets...
All these fit

You don't have to remove the swingarm. All you have to do is raise or lower the swingarm & it comes out.

Really? I was looking at that last night. It was too cold to work on the bike with that north wind blowing straight in to the garage. I wondered if I could just take the top shock mount loose and move the swingarm up or down to get the new one on. Thanks for the tip!

It would probably be a good idea for me to check out all of the swingarm/linkage/shock bearings sometime. The top shock bearing does squeak a bit.

Thanks!!
