I think the newbe's to the dirt bike world don't find the Yellow that special .....unlike us old guys who LOVE it because , well, YZ's are supposed to be yellow.

BTW....my local dealer has the oem yellow stuff on the "self serve" shelf so they could care less about asking you for your VIN.

Here's my smoker....and yes ...my 07 YZF will be yellow...if they don't offer it in 2007 I will get the One Industries kit.

You will not be dissapointed ordering the yellow YZ. The blue one isnt all that spectacular in the ways of looks, but stock the yellow one is stunning. Dont make the mistake I almost did and settle for second best, get the yellow one and be happy

Exactly how Im feeling now. The blue just doesn't do anything for me, and as much as I hate to spend another $200, I can't stop looking at the yellow.
Damn color obsessions. :bonk:

I also have a le 450 and i don't care if i payed 200 dollars more big deal, I also went ahead and bought the matching suit and helmet oh yea and gloves and gear bag etc.. Call me a dork if you will but I can tell you this I am the coolest looking one on the track and everybody that I ride with wants the setup. So I guess you could say that alone is worth the "Limited Edition" aspect!

That is one sweet Yamaha for a smoker
Me I got one of them Yeller Bikes, and for what it is worth, Yamaha is allocating only two per dealership, two 450's, two 250's. As you said the Retro has more meaning to the old timers then these young turds who are bagging on it. Must be terrible to want something so bad and now that you can not get an original you bag on it.

BTW nice 393 Stickers, Where did you get them

I beg to differ, I am 16 and I think these yellow bikes are way too badass to pass up. Yes I will be rocking the retro gear too  Since I waited roughly 7 months for a 450 I basically would just take any color that came in. Mean while my dad is trying to talk me out of the blue the whole time I just didnt listen. We go to get the bike, The blue is sitting there and I think sweet. I see in a crate a YZ250FSPV, and the owner asks if I want to see it to make up my mind on color. Well he takes the cover off the box and I smiled from ear to ear. I asked how long til a yellow one comes in, and he said 3 more weeks. So I decided its totally worth it to wait it out. I got the bike and cant stop smiling every time I look at it. Life lesson learned, If you want something you must work for it, and not settle for second best.

what an AWESOME price. I had to pay $7800 OTD. Dealer would only sell MSRP at $7099 + Tax because they only got 1 Yellow per store. No haggling because people wanted and would pay full price, like I had to do. You got hooked up big time.

It appears you sent your suspension out to Factory Connection. Were you able to keep the Ti shock spring on the rear? I weigh 190lbs and was hoping I could keep the Ti rear spring. Thanks for any info.

NOPE!!!!I am 215 with gear,so I had to move up to keep the suspension in the higher part of the stroke!I would think at 190 you are not too far away from the stock rates. You may be a little over but play around and see what happens.
