I'm trying to justify a new 06 to the wife. My local dealer quoted me what I think is a fantastic price, she doesn't think it's so fantastic. I thought I'd ask all of your "professional" opinions on the deal: 06 YZ 450F (blue) for $6912.50- OUT THE DOOR. She thinks I should try and find a better deal somewhere, I don't think I'll be able to. What do you guys think?

Sure you will. Wait til the '07 is out and you can get a '06 for $5500

Also, let your wife know that $7K really is much cheaper than psycologist and marrage counciling  Not to mention it will also reduce your need to purchase a gym membership.

I see you are in Idaho. What part. I know you could get a better deal here. I just dont know how much better. If you are interested in coming to Billings, let me know. I can get you in touch with my dealer, or ask him how much he would sell you one for. I paid less than that for my SE. Good luck.

Well, you know the deal from ATM, but for the TT only guys, here's the scoop: There's a guy who wants to trade me his 99 Polaris RMK 700 snowmobile for my 00 426. The sled would be for my wife, so my only requirement is I get a new bike out of the deal. For those of you who don't know, my 426 is very near and dear to me, so nothing less than new will make it worth it to me to trade off my old bike.

Seems like my local dealer's price is a tad high, but they have been very good to me for the past 3-4 years so I'm hesitant to buy elsewhere. The other problem is I'll probably end up financing it on my Yamaha card, so buying from TT or IMB is not an option. Even so, I don't think it's going to happen so it doesn't matter much.

Maybe 07 will be my year, but I said that about 06...

I went shopping today at RT15 powersports in Sussex, NJ. They have both a blue and yellow YZF450 that they are not really willing to sell for less than msrp ($6900/$7100). Yet they have 06 CRF450's on the floor for $6199.

I was really really hoping to pick up the yamaha, but I would buy either bike if the price is right.

That may be a possibility, I don't think Billings is all too far from here. PM me the info if you would
