So I rewound my stator lightning coils (2circuits of 5 poles x 66 turns ea
 ) and was checking the resistance of the (stock) ignition coils before reinstalling and got a reading of 88 ohms at room temperature. (80ohms at 0deg. C)
Is this in the right ballpark?
Can the ignition coils be improved?

Eduardo

Just to close the thread.

Honda specs are:

Alternator exciter coil ( 20 deg C/ 68 deg F) = 50 - 200 ohms :bonk:
Thanks Mal, thanks Steven

Cheers,

Eduardo.
