The sexiest WR out there... Is there such a thing? WR's are big, clumsy galoots of bikes. How could they be sexy? That's like searching for the sexiest 300 lb woman; it's gonna be a long search.

Not to mention no hand protection! I got mine up and still get whacked on the top of my hands!

here's my 02 WR426 Hurricane conversion with 05 YZF seat/plastics/airbox. She's almost finished, the only thing missing is a Scotts Damper and i will be converting her from AC to DC soon too. Spent most of the winter months on the conversion whenever i had time off work and i think the end result looks ok even if i do say so myself :excuseme:

Man that is sweet! Do you have a fan in the air box? It looks as if there is one on the right side airbox.

not an actual fan, just the grills from std computer fans with twin-air foam cut to size and retained by mesh. I thought it'd help with the induction of nice clean air and it seems to make it more responsive too. my only concern was that it might suck in too much damp air when it was raining but i rode it for over 100 miles in torrential rain on sunday without any probs or hiccups. Funny as this sounds though, i can hear the exhaust note from within the airbox now, and it kinda makes the exhaust have a deeper tone when revving? Sounds sweet, if not a bit on the loud side, but then again, these Akrapovic systems ARE loud! my neighbours love it when they see me rolling the bike out of the garage, i've witnessed them reaching for their hearing-aids to turn them off or perhaps their turning them UP? being pensioners, it's probably the ONLY vibes they're getting nowadays! :excuseme:

Cool, youre not actually hearing the exhaust through the intake youre just hearing the ari going into your engine which makes a nice deep sound, that's why on most cars and snowmobiles engines (not bikes so much) have partitions or chambers in the intake to help reduce some of these noises, I love the sound myself and noticed the same thing when i put more holes in my intake and removed my snorkel. On the old cars we use to flip the round filter cover over so it would make more noise (jeesh im old)

Its a LEI RAM rubberized ball mount (model MB-5 or 101-60). I have a GlobalMap 100 but AirMap 100 stuff works because its the same chassis. I think I paid 20 bux or so for it a couple of months ago somewhere online.

Thanks Rushfan, i am very happy with the bike, one and a half year and no problems!! Since i have the Supermoto fever ( :ride: ) i have been making changes on the bike and i am really really happy!!

Those pics are awesome. That's good stuff. You're lucky that you get to do that.

I went to a Rally earlier this year for the street bike that I ride, and part of the Rally was a track day. I only got to watch being that I had no track experience. But, that will all change next year. I will take a couple of classes so that I can participate at the next Rally.

Anyway, that bike of yours is by far, "The sexiest WR" ?
