I know this is an old topic but my search has not quite come up with what I want. I have a 98YZ 400 when you crank the throttle open after its warm sometimes the throttle shuts and then I get a high idle for 10 seconds or so and then it drops to normal. cleaned carb, adjusted cables, checked for leaks blah blah blah. What in the H am I missing!!! Please help tters!!!

Hanging idle means lean jetting. Go up a size in pilot jet and main jet and adjust your fuel screw. Probably cooler weather there now, right?

Yep that was it. Ya its only 40's here. needs a fatter pilot but I cranked open the screw and that got it. Thanx though.
