Got all the parts together - sidecase, electrics, starter motor, mounts etc.

Going to go the way of making a crank adapter so I can retain the original flwyheel and stator. Stator will have to be rewound.

Hopefully the mighty XR628 will gain e start in the next few months. Didnt want the L model transplant - my 628 motor only has 1200 kms on it.

If anyone has any tips or heads up then let me know.

I thought the L had an XR600R crank-end, with an adapter.
But I looked on bikebandit's fiche, and that didn't look to be the case.
So you have the 80 tooth gear that goes on the crank, and that rides on a little bearing cage, which rides on the crank? The mythical adapter?

Yep bought the starter gear and clutch off ebay.

All i need to do is bolt my flywheel to the 650L starter clutch and gear.

The mythical adapter is what I need to make.

Shouldnt be too hard - fingers crossed!!!
