YZ426F set up for hare scrambles

I live in Western Missouri (Kansas City) and I have a 2001 YZ426F. It is a great bike but I would like to upgrade to a 2006. The bike is near perfect but the resale value is poor and not worth selling, so I would like to convert it to a hare scramble bike.

Any set-up or modifications tips you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
