Hello,
just recently put a titanium exhaust on my bike o4 yz 450 with the FMF factory 4 titanium system. the mid pipe is turning some yellow color.
i cleaned the pipe with brake cleaner before i mounted it to make sure i got all the oil and finger prints off it. but still looks tarnished. any suggestions. will it come off? I havent contacted FMF yet.

No. It's going to turn yellow and then blue clear to the muffler, and the colors will change around while you're riding. The front loop of the header will eventually loose all its color entirely. If you ask FMF why it won't stay bright, they'll politely ask you if you're serious. It's only .030-.040 thick, and it gets hot enough to make steel glow red. That's just how it is.

the funny thing is the headder is not yellow only the mid pipe. it would look sweet if it turned blue fade. maybe it will once it gets hot enough. but i went on a 4 hour ride. should have done it but it was forrest hills and trails not alot of wide open .
come on blue.....
