its forecasted to rain tonite and 80% tomorrow with up to 1/2" total. From recent experience what will the ranger do about closing it if it is actually raining, but not too much vs lots of rain? Big group going tomorrow and we may need to make alternate plans or cancel..........

I dont think they will close it for a 1/2". I think it comes down to wanting to ride in the rain or not.
I was going to suggest going to Jawbone instead since there is no forecast for rain out there, but thats an extra hour from Fresno.

Should be fine, last year it was only closed if more than 1" fell within 24hrs. :worthy: Hopefully it ain't too cold and rainy...... :thumbsdn:

Not sure about it closing, but it sure was pretty miserable today at Stonyford. GOTTA get grip heaters! If it wasn't for my hands it wouldn't have been that bad. Bring layered clothing, it was sleeting when we got there (fortunatly quit), but it was wet all day.
I'll post a ride report tomorrow - but again, bring WARM WATERPROOF clothing and MULTIPLE gloves! :prof:

The BLM has not closed the Creek even though it received 1.81 inches of rain on Sunday. Apparently they will not take any action until 8" of rain has fallen and then they will close if .5" in 24 hours or 1" in 72 hours. Closure then for 72 hours. Total to date is a little over 3".
