A co-worker talks about it all the time. He and his buddies ride quads. Is it a cool place for dirt bikes? I'm an intermediate rider, mostly trails. Would you recommed it?

A lot of wide open areas, but there is technical stuff if you know where to look.

It's real big. I second the GPS. Lots of nasty rocky biiiiigggg hillclimbs. Technical stuff. Wide open whooped out trails. Even some dry lakebeds, trials like rock stuff and mini sand dunes.
