I am thionking of going for a day run during the week. I have been to Superstition via bikes from O Wells. If I want to bring quads out there what are the bes directions. I can come out the 8 or take 78 to 86 south - where do you get off?

Coming from San Diego, take 8 east. Exit Dunaway Rd and make a left. Follow to Evan Hewes (old 80) and make a right. Follow down to Huff road and make a left. Stay on Huff until you see Wheeler Rd and make a left. That will run you to the base of the Supes. Or, you can go straight for a couple of miles and stage at the dip.

Thanks Nate. I was there yesterday and it was ideal conditions - very light wind/dust and perfect temperatures. I rode from Hidden Valley at OWells to the sand wall/dam in the middle and back-50 miles on the CRF450R. It was unusual as there were not many people out there yesterday and it was awesome. Must have been last minute shoppers with there priorities messed up!

if its your first time ever going out there make sure that you wait for the sign to turn on to wheeler rode, if you turn on the wheeler rode to the right, you end up in some real bad farm area or something. couple weeks back my friend got is truck stuck out there in the dark and it turn into a big ordeal....

Can someone give me a good idea of directions to ride from O wells to Superstition. Are there marked trails? GPS? any info would be appreciated. I've been to both but never ridden from one to the other. We have a group of people that want to make the trip soon.
Thanks in advance

just head for the big ass mountain all by itself to the east, you can't miss it.

You can ride Split Mountain Road south until it comes close to the train tracks and follow them into Plaster City/Superstition.
