The Flu took me down last week so I am trying to make up for it this Saturday. :ride:
I am hooking up with Davet916, to show Him around the Three's, :ride: Plan is for us to pass thru Foresthill around 8:10. If others want to show we can meet at Moms store at 8:15. :ride: I have read a lot of posts of those that have been up there this week. :p It should be Perfect Traction and Conditions. :applause: Lets Hit The Hill. :ride: Whoever shows, lunch is on me, :applause: just let me know by 1:00PM Friday, or you will be eating nothing more then Roost. :ride:

I'm really considering it. I'm leary of having the gear for the cold though. Don't recall going to FH in the really cold months before.

Any chance of meeting right off hwy 80 at the Forresthill exit? When you get off hwy 80 East and make the right onto Foresthill, I know there's a gas station and some fast food restaurants to the right. If you know of any specific landmarks, I can meet you there.

Not a problem, there is a Chevron Station right after you get off of the Freeway, I will meet you there at around 8:00 AM if you want to go. :ride:

Do not worry about the cold, once you are frozen you will not feel it, just kidding, it will warm up around 10:00. Just wear a sweatshirt under you Jersey and you will be fine. :p

250X4, looks like I'll be heading down to Hollister. I'll likely take you up on a FH ride soon though! Have fun!

The ride is over and it was great. I was a little uncomfortable seeing the frost getting thicker and thicker as we got closer and closer to FH. Had to chuckle that the fire danger is still moderate? The trails were pretty well frozen which was ok because then they aren't slippery. It snowed slightly around 10:00. Beautiful! All totalled, we put on about 20 miles and had a good ride. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. The CDF was up there doing a controlled burn on 3-5. That was pretty freaky to come around a corner and see a forest fire

I hit rain on the way back at Upper Clementine and put up with it all the way back to Sacramento.

Thanks again RJ for showing me around. It was quite an adventure for my first time in a long time.

Dave, thanks for showing up and being part of a great Ride. I have never rode a trail that was Frozen before, it was cool in more ways then one, in some spots it was frozen on the top, in others it was Frozen one inch below the dirt. Anyway it was a first for me and a great Ride. We only saw 8 other Riders the whole day, yeah we found them in the most tight single track that we rode the entire day and they were going the other direction, that is the way I guess. It was a great day to Ride. I Stopped at the store to see Mom on the way back and it started to rain, by the time I hit Auburn it was raining pretty good.

Thanks again Davet916.

I am going to head back up there on Friday the 23rd if the weather holds up.

All those who wanted to wait until Sunday, :p :p :p :p
