WR Question.

Recommended Posts

I’ve been thinking on getting another dirt bike to keep my PIG company and wondered if someone here could tell me a bit about the WR’s. I’ve looked into the KTM’s, it appears as they have their fair share if issues. The same goes with the CRF450X. The reading I’ve done so far here has led me to believe that the WR is a pretty tough and well thought out bike. The bulk of my reading has been concerning un-corking and jetting issues. Are there any other problems with this bike that one needs to consider before purchasing? Thanks in advance for any information that you may be able to provide.

My teenage son beats the sh*t out of his YZ250F and it just keeps coming back for more. He will try ANY hill at Carnegie OHV park and just constantly bounces it off the rev limiter for +3 years straight and I have yet to put a shim in it, just amazing the performance and durability that thing has. His bike is the reason I defected from "red" to my WR. Between that bike and his old unbreakable TTR125, they should both be in a Yamaha Ad.

Graves,

I was in the same bqat as you last year, I decided on the Wr as my 2nd bike due to its bullet proof rep. 900 miles into it I'm sure I made the right choice. I'v dropped, looped, stalled and crashed the Wr alot in that 900 miles and I just hit the button and keep going. Zero problems and I also recomend the free mods, J.D. jet kit and lowdog ais removal kit

Good luck,

Phil
