The WR had a wider ratio gear set in the trans, milder exhaust cam timing, a heavier flywheel together with a stator equipped with lighting coils, a more restrictive, quieter exhaust, and a weather-proofed air box that had a top cover with a snorkel, and softer (for its weight) suspension. Not sure on the carb size question.

On the 426's, most of the engine parts could be interchanged. On the 450's, the electrical systems will not cross fit.
