 Hey, I've got all next week off work (the week before Christmas), and the following week too (as long as my work doesn't ship my butt to North Dakota  ). Anyone else have some time off? Any rides planned? :ride: :D :ride:

 I have to stay local (Elkins, GT, FH, PC, etc) and make day rides, no overnight trips, but it would be nice to ride a couple of times each week.

I'd like to do an Elkin's Flat ride if the weather permits. I haven't been there since '82 and would get lost. Let me know where and when.

I am off the same time. But I have to be home by 3:30 each day to watch the kids except Tues. Maybe I will come down for a ride on tuesday. You can come up here one of the other days if you want some stange.

Tues eh Zeke?

That would be the 27th? Maybe a guided EF tour from the local himself?

I've got a few things planned, but would like to join a ride or two if it works out. Would like to try EF, never been there. I'll watch the posts and see what develops.

Lets do it, if it is still open. If not maybe G town. Either way. I am up for a road trip. Maybe even Cow Mtn. if everything else is snowed in.

Hey Guys,

I'm a school teacher here in Orangevale and I've got the same couple of weeks off. I'd like to go riding as well. Here's my basic level: I've been riding pretty regularly since 2002. At Foresthill I can handle trail #5 but that one pushes me a little. At Stoneyford any of the posted intermediate terrain is good but the difficult stuff is a little over my head. I've ridden 1 Mystery 250 with the Sierrra Trail Dogs and made it through alive. I did not get a call from the "Last Man Standing" orgainizers.......maybe next year. I don't want to slow you down but would enjoy riding with new people and learning about more riding spots.

You will have no problems. We are all cool. If something is over your head say so. If you desire more abuse let em know.

I have found dirtbikers will ride with anyone, anytime regardless of skill level. As long as we are riding dirt bikes everything is good.

Great....that's the response I was hoping for. Let me know what date you guys settle on and a meeting time and place.

Count me in. I want to ride too. I'm new again. I haven't ridden in 20 years so all the areas are new.

Well, at least with a smoke trail we'll have an idea which direction to go.

I haven't ridden with all of you since the "No Gay's Ride" a while back up at Elkin's. What a blast! New baby, work and a jinxed calendar have kept me from riding with you since. I am off work from the 16th through the 3rd. Would love to get Elkins in next week before Christmas - or wherever/whenever. Let me know the day and I am in.

The 27th might work, but I also might be in SoCal. I should know in a day or two. If I can't do the 27th, what about the 20th (Next Tuesday). Just a thought. This is all weather dependant too. I'll try to figure this out soon, and I'll post any specific rides that work out. If I post a ride, all are welcome, and if you can get around Georgetown, Foresthill, Stonyford, etc, you shouldn't have any problems with Elkins. It's a fun place to ride, and not too technical.

Well, my situation has changed slightly. My wife is going to be off that day and she hasn't been able to ride in a long time. So I will probably be riding with her is she wants to go somewhere. Where? i don't know yet. But she isn't to hip on the big crowds. She is a good rider but always feel like she is holding everyone else back. I might look for a slower group ride at an ohv park or take her to her favorite place here around Chico.

As usual, play it by ear.
