We're thinking about camping at Hollister Hills over New Years, but are concerned about the crowds. Does anyone have any previous experience this time of year?
Will Hollister be busy New Year's weelend?

I'm new to this site, I recently bought a 05' crf450x and want to know where these places are. I live in Manhattan Beach. I know all about cal-city, Jawbone canyon, red rock, Gorman...etc.
So, where exactly is Hollister hills? Is it a track, and how much do you have to pay to ride?...or is it free?

#1 Hollister California
#2 Lots of well- marked trails. Soil varies from hard clay to heavy, orangish sand. A TT track, a nice sand track with no jumps, an MX track with big jumps, a natural style MX track with smaller jumps, a quad track.
#3 It's 5 dollars per car.

The guy rides a 450X. I know, you overshoot the crap out of em unless you can scrub. Why do you think you're so pro anyway? I've seen guys like Adam Miller at HH riding. I gues they aren't too good for it. but you are?

I know I was just playing. I wouldn't say I overshoot them unless I scrub. But I TRY to scrub. Yeah but I know that the first 2 years I rode, those jumps scared the crap out of me. But still until 1/2 a year ago they were still huge. But now that am getting faster and riding real MX tracks they are small . But they really need to fix the Lodge MX track so real beginners can ride there, without being scared of the MX track and never riding on it.

Yeah, dude sorry, I guess I have been annoying about the MX and vintage track. But I guess the only reason I hate that track is because I have been riding the track for 1 1/2 and it just got boring. But will stop saying stuff about how bad HH is because I am ffffaaarrrr from pro. I think I have heard who Adam Miller is, but what # is he?

If you normally ride Jawbone do not go to Hollister, go to Clear creek.
New years week will be like Thanksgiving week. They are at capacity and will not let anymore bikes into the park until someone exits. I am no pro rider either and I will say that I only go to Hollister when I am with my kids. And as far as that track with big jumps, its a decent mini track at best. The only reason to go to Hollister is because its close or you are a novice. Either way, Clear Creek is worth the extra drive time. From Hwy 5, you save in drive time.
