Little dilema

I have an IMS desert tank, recently it started leaking quite a bit of gas, I thought that it was the cap, so yesterday when I went to remove the cap the whole threaded section of the gas tank broke off, does anyone know how to make it a dry break/quick fill tank??

If it's that brittle, then personally I would opt for a new tank. Riding with a brittle tank is asking to be BBQ'd.
