late Nov to mid Dec

It's about as late in November as it can get! As I've posted before, the dealer I was going to get mine from was hoping that the first one would hit @ or right after Thanksgiving. That was his first one. The next couple not until late December w/the remaining allocation late January & beyond.

If you're not first on the list out here, I would guess that you'll be lucky to have yours before X-Mas! Hopefully that's not the case. :applause:

I hear ya on the late Nov. time frame. Why can they have them out west and none on the east yet doesnt make sense unless they have limited in production made yet. By the time they get released I look for alot to switch brands if they already havent. I understand they are 2006 models but if all the other manufactures have had theres out for a while now then the YZF's should be available close to the same time. I will wait as my 03 has been great so great that I'm keeping it and making it my winter/trellborg/woods bike. I'm first at a local dealer here and the bike is already paid in full so hopefully I dont get screwed and my bike gets sold since they already have my money. This happened to me before were I paid for my bike 6 months in advance and the dealer sold the bike that was supose to be mine to someone else so needless to say I havent bought a bike there ever since and I will not ever buy one from them. Hopefully the 450's will be here this wk. :banghead

I'm one of the ones who couldn't wait! I sold my '04 CRF much faster and earlier (& for much more $ than I thought) than expected & would have come back to the YZF if it was available sooner. Ended up getting an '06 CRF and have been riding 3 -5 times/month since August. I was second on the list for the YZF and realistically didn't think I'd get it before Christmas. Not sure why Yamaha is so late this year, I know at least 4 others who bought other colors, that would most likely bought Blue if it was available.

Hope you get your bike ASAP. Looks like it's a winner.

science,

If I didnt have my 03 to ride for now I'm not sure I would be waiting either. I had a 02 CRF and went through 3 sets of valves in 1 yr and this is the reason I havent bought another CRF plus my YZF has been so damn reliable valves are still in spect after 3 yrs. Now granted I didnt ride much last yr. as I am always on the dozer or watering/maintancing the tracks but I have seen alot of CRF's two 2005's 1 month ago both of them were pushing there bikes to get them going as they were on there 2nd set of valves. One has since bought a 2006 RMZ 250 and the other is getting a RMZ 450 soon he said. Then I know a couple of guys with 2004 CRF's and have had zero valve problems so who knows what the problem is as I've heard and read so many theories. Hopefully I'll have the same kind of luck with the 06 Yzf as I have had with my 03.

I wish I had the $ to have 2 bikes like you. That would have made waiting a bit easier!

My '04 was one of those CRF's that had zero valve problems. I'm hoping (knock-on-wood) that my '06 treats me as well! Being a +40 B, non revver'-maintenance freak has probably helped my cause here. No doubt the Yamaha's are bulletproof.

Good luck!

Hello all, this is my first post, sadly a frustrated one. I have been jonesing for this bike a while now and told dealer here in VA to call as soon as they come in. He usually calls with updates but none this time. Tired of waiting I called the dealer again only to find out that a memo from Yamaha had come out stating that arrival time would be Jan/FEB. (&%$#@!) I called two other dealers in the area as well just to make sure smoke wasn't being blown and sadly I got the same memo response from both. I am pretty Yammi loyal but enough is enough already, jumping ship is in sight. Anyone else heard this? Oh yeah 2004 YZ250F (for sale)
