Has the YZ450 SE Bob Hannah been released yet?

They want too much for the s.e.

I really wonder about that. Is it really a price bargaining point for them to have the Yellow plastic? I realize it is a special edition but there are no differences in the machine itself. I did choose a yellow one myself mainly cause I am an old school vet rider who grew up on Yellow YZ's, but I certainly wouldn't pay more for it than I would for the blue one. My dealer made me a great deal and didn't expect me to pay more for the SE model. I think the price difference is just a retail guide for the dealers to be able to gouge customers for a bit more $$$, should they choose to do so.

They use that as a selling point in Las Vegas.....All the shops here in town are owned by the same company except for one or two...They will rape you if you don't know any better...And also,I run the yellow plastics as well because I grew up riding the yellow YZ's.....I think it's probably a different story with dealers in Alaska.

I'M a little confused here, with the se you get yellow ft fender rear fender shrouds, graphics, bar pad, black seat cover and last but not least the way cool se sticker.lol

so if i went out to buy this stuff it would be more than 200.00 yamahas list price on the graphics alone is120.00 looks to me that it is cheaper to get a se to start with. Now if you are down on the list or just cant get one thats another story.Like the others I'm a old school guy and grew up with the yellow yamahas so its a cool thing for me! :applause:

They're marking them up at the dealers for the simple fact that they can...Supply and demand rules on this one.

I purchased my One industries kit for $160.00 shipped which includes all plastics, graphics, seat cover, and bar pad.

I don't even think the S.E. looks as good as a one industries equiped bike...The graphics on the S.E. appear too thin and are flat in appearance, not glossy.....Just my opinion,I do however love the fact that yamaha brought back it's legendary colors.I grew up riding the yellow YZ's too. :applause:

It's my understanding that Yamaha will only sell the SE plastics if you purchased a SE bike to start with. I was told you supposedly can't buy the SE plastics if you bought a blue bike since Yamaha requires you provide a VIN # to purchase the yellow plastics and the VIN # must match a SE model. As if people won't find a way around this....Friends have SE bikes so they use there VIN #, or you know someone at a dealership who can work through this? How much of this is true? I've heard this from a couple dealerships. I wanted the blue and thought at some point I'd like to try the Hannah yellow since I also rode these bikes in my younger days and that is what they said.

It's also my opinion that the $300 difference is not that bad, yeah you can by the One Industries kit but it's not stock...it's not the anniversary package. It all depends on what this means to you. When I go to sell this I will purchase a brand new set of the SE plastics, and again in my opinion, will sell the bike for a price that covers the $300 dollar difference between blue and yellow.
