$8,599 MSRP for a new WR is ridiculous! Are they on crack or what? That's quite a price jump isn't it? If I remember correctly (that would be unusual), '04s were like $6,000 weren't they? And that seemed like a lot.

And 04wr450f, just in case you weren't aware, for Canada, you'd have to adjust for the exchange rate.

When I first was looking for my 05, calling around Sacramento, CA shops were giving me OTD numbers like that
Call ALL the shops you would consider driving too and ask them for an over the phone OTD price. You find somebody that will be much cheaper than others.
I went to Quincy, CA, small shops can use the cash :applause:

I got it straight from the Yamaha website and it didn't say anything about that being a Canadian price that I could see.

I'm not looking to upgrade. I was on there looking for options for my oldest son's next bike.

You see the .ca in the web address? That is for Canada. Take off everything in that web address after the .ca and the page will be the Yamaha Motor Canada ltd page. HEre's the US page http://www.yamaha-mo...210/0/home.aspx

No problem. I hail from Washington State, so I'm fairly used to doing the quick conversion frmo US Dollars to Canadian Dollars from the trips I took to Canada.
