YZ426 ('00) Shift forks

Hello people,

can anyone tell me which shift fork controls 4th wheel gear?

Is it shift fork 1?

Yes, fork 1 moves the 4th wheel gear to engage 2nd.

PLEASE tell me your not having a case of the shiftforkbeakage syndrome. I had the same thing happen to my 2nd gear. just to give u some advise (if you arent allready doing it) replace the shift forks and BOTH GEARS :ride: i made that mistake and cost me $75 more (all labor myself) neways i hope u get it fixed and youll be so happy when u do. :applause:

Look for the smiley face on the other forks.

I will be replacing all shift forks! And both 3rd and 4th gears. Two of the forks have small smiley faces!
