I run a 16x18 radial Brembo to a four piston, four pad Brembo caliper using Brembo HH pads. I brake with one finger. Lacks big initial bite but has great  modulation and good feel. Very strong and all braking happens with about 1/2" of brake lever travel.

not to highjack this thread, but I'm having a problem with my brothers bike. its a wr 400 converted to street with a stock front wheel, stock rotor, stock caliper, moose ss braided line and a 02 gsxr 1000 master so I could use the brake light switch. the problem- the lever is hard as hell to pull and the bike doesn't stop. I can pull the lever with four fingers and push the bike foward. bled the crap out of it 3 times. bought the master off of e-bay, so don't know if it is good. any ideas would help before he starts throwing money at this thing. thanks for all the good info.

the master cylinder is way to big for the stock 2 piston caliper.

i kinda like the feel just that its slightly too spongy..

It may be cast onto the outside of the master cylinder - Nissin does this.

Generally speaking increasing the bore diameter will make the brake feel more spongy, decreasing it will make it firmer.
Braking calipers require a 16mm master.
Bigger diameter = more volume
Smaller diameter = more pressure
which do you need.

i know this is a old thread but i have a question, i have the brembo 12 or 13mm master the one with the one piece fluid resovoir not the two peice with the external tank as i just sold my other brembo and motomaster setup, but on the 12-13mm i have the SS brake line that the line has the bajo fitting straihgt on the end of the brake line and it screws straight into the master and the other end of the line is a 90deg bango that was originally made for a motomaster sumo caliper but i have a Yamaha R1 caliper on the bike the system works great but i dont like the 90 deg fitting ont he caliper as the line sticks out to the lfeft outside of the bike about 1/2" more than a regular SS line, im anal and i could see a 1st corner bump with someone catching the line or something. Does anyone know what line i could run that has eiter a 90 at the Master and a regular ss fitting 0 deg at the caliper or threaded straight at the master like now with a flat or 0 deg bango at the caliper.
