Piggy friends

In the midst of figuring out which stator or to do rewind... I think I may as well convert to DC while I'm at it. the mod'ing is going to go on and on with new decent headlight, a deck and a GPS, etc etc.

So: can someone educate me on what it takes to make that conversion? I'm thinking there are three components: battery, regulator, and something else I can't recall. But I am a novice on auto electricals so need some explicit direction.

please help! all advice, links, part nums, opinions are more than welcome

You need a regulator/rectifier. Ricky stator sells a great one for about $45.
