86 wheels

can anyone tell me if a wheel off of an 86 will fit a '98?.....thanks. I have a 98 thats plated and I'm tired of changing from street to off-road tires :banghead: !!!!!!

it will fit if you convert to drum brakes :banghead:

if I convert "to" drum brakes or from drum?....the ones I've seen on ebay are all disc....

91 I think they went to disc on the back , so if you get that year or newer you should be fine .

The front wheels will probably work. 86 rear wheels are 17" with drum brakes. Look for a 1991 or newer, those should work fine.

I don't think so, my 87 xr250 has an 18 with rear drum. :banghead:
