This race is a northwest favorite that you do not want to miss!!! The course incorporates an MX track, woods section, road course, 1/4 mile drag strip, and this year the grass field looks to be back!

Located at Pacific Raceways in Kent WA.

Here is the link to the flyer: 2005 White Knuckle Flyer

The stumpjumpers have been working hard preparing the trails in the woods section(s). After last years Frost Bite the trails along the ridge were whooped out pretty bad, but we have removed most all the whoops with a mini-escavator and the trails now look awesome. The clear-cut has also received some attention with several days of brush-hogging.

Here is a link to a short video from last year's event:

It was a terrific event last year! Stumpjumpers M/C is a leader in the Northwest for putting on fantastic events that challenge riders, but also make it fun that keeps them coming back for more.

I might need to give my camera and pen a rest for this one. Might need to enter and race it myself.

Sweeet!

What class to race?
Had my first race at the filthy pup, raced open C and won my class and was the only rider to finish on my lap. should i move up to open B or stay in open C?
there really wasn't that many people at the last one and there looks to be possibility for a large turn out for the white knuckle.
Is the long course that much more demanding than the short? with my extra lap in the last race i was riding for nearly 2hrs and it was a mudfest and very physically demanding. Will it be that much more to go an extra 1/2 to 1 hour? it looks like you can get a little rest on the road course sections. if it rains will it get as bad as hannegan? not sure i am willing to put my bike or body through that again(killed mt drive train and brake pads)

hhj65,

What class you do is up to you as it doesn't sound like your going for points. The White Knuckle, due to the proximity of Seattle will draw a lot of riders and competition

Yes, you do get a break on the road course, however, if it is raining, you will be focused on not sliding out in the corners, pelted by rain, getting chilled by the wind, etc.... So the question is, how much challenge do you want? Try long course for the flavor and see how you do.

If the whoops on the lower section truly are cleared out on the bottom, then course will be pretty fast IMO. The clearcut is simply awesome, good dirt, nice sweeping fast corners with logs, ruts and stumps thrown in for fun!

good info.

I personally recommend to anyone that can handle the extra 1hr riding to do the long course over the C class. IMO you'll have a better ride as you don't have the bottle necks and such that can occur in the C class (C runs along with 15 and under). Riding long course will make you a better rider as well.

anywhere whoops existed will be smooth and fast(er). however, all the technical terrain remains, which will still break up the speed along the ridge trails. I personally can't wait to race along the ridge section, I think it's going to be the funnest part this year.

I'll be there! I'm excited for this one because I haven't raced a harescramble since Cranberry Lake and I won't be able to go to the Cowbell due to the 25 hour race. I had a killer time at the Frostbite last year, which was my first harescramble.
