DL similar to a Savage?

Hello
Question - is the 650 engine in a savage similar to the DL? I have a savage and want to beef up the horsepower.

No, the Savage is a single and as far as I know that is the only bike that uses that engine. The DL is the SV650 twin engine in an adventure touring package. I'm afraid you're on your own.

But if there was some upgrade options for that engine to get it to around 50 hp I'd be all over it as an option for a British style big single cafe racer. It's got the look but it just doesn't have the go.

All i know is supertrapp used to make a nice exhaust system for the savage, all stainless.
