bike going bad

I got this used 02 426 and the bike has a brand new top end but the bike backfire whenever you back off the throttle. so what would you guys do to fix this problem?

proper jetting...if you cant do it, pay someone to tune it on a dyno (my method).

Start by adjusting the pilot (fuel) screw then if that doesn't fix it by 2.5-3 turns out go up one size on the pilot jet.
