I'm doing the San Felipe Poker Run this weekend which is a 45 mile loop. Should I run my desert tank or will my stock tank (1.8 gal) be sufficient? I'd rather not run the bulky desert tank if I don't have to.
I have on 02' YZF426.
thanks :banghead:

Based on my experience racing my 00 426 in various GP's & HareScrambles, 45 Miles would be cutting it close. Obviously depends on terrain, altitude and riding style - But 36 - 42 miles would be the limit for me. I wish I had a larger tank....

Real close. I can do 40 if I take it easy, but there's not much left.

I can get 46 miles on my 01 426. Any further though and I would have been pushing!

I can go 60 miles on my stock 00 426 tank... I would say you'd be fine.

I got an honest 75 out of my Clarke 2.8 the other day and might have had another 5 miles in er. That was easy cruising around too.

go by the hours. they state that most motocross bikes can go 45 minutes of balls to the wall riding and thats it. so if you can do it in less than 45 min you will be good....
