How difficult is it to swap rear drum brakes on a 1988 XR6 for the later disc system? Also what about the cost? I have found a 1988 XR6 with "tranny noises" that i can pickup for probably $600-$700. But i would prefer to have rear disc.

Kdtg,
I did it to my 86 600r. I used a wheel from a cr 125 or 250 I think. I just made a bracket that help the caliper from rotating around. I have the setup for sale if you would want it relatively cheap. You would need to get the the caliiper and hose and master cylinder but I have the wheel and disk. Hope that helps, Tony
