From what I undertand Rekluse has raised its wholesale price which is now being passed on to the consumer. I did find a new one with a perch adjuster for $450 + shipping. So to those of you out there who've purchased one recently, what do you think about that price? Many thanks...SC

You think? Just about everywhere else, including the TT Store is selling it for $498. The next lowest I found was at MotoFrugals for $475. If you know of a better price, please let me know...SC

The price is a little high, but everything goes up. It is a great clutch. It only has 2 competitors (Revloc and EFM, both great clutches but require modification of oem parts) and their prices are like 900.00 and 500.00 respectively. I love my rekluse and you can throw away the perch adjuster as far as I am concerned (yes even on the track). If you get the rear hand brake you can wind it up easier.

I'd love to buy it from the TT Store, but I'm in Nevada as well and the tax eats up the discount...SC

I spoke with the guys at Rekluse and they told me thay haven't had a price increase in quite a while, so they were curious where that info was coming from. They sell it for $429 and I've found the standard rate at $399 just about everywhere except for a couple of online sources which were a bit less...SC

In order for Rekluse to sell this product themselves, which they need to do to stay in business, it is very likely they have to establish a retail price that exceeds the market price to keep their retailers happy, therefore, giving their retailers making 30-40% margin the opportunity to sell product first.

Some stores out there discount $5 and make it up in shipping, and some just lose the $5 here or the $10. Maybe that is a loss leader, etc...

If you found a good deal, jump on it. You might spend 2-3 more hours on this and save another $20, but isn't that time in your life worth more than the meager savings?

And the Lord said to the thread, "Arise dead thread and be reborn to the WR message board so thou shalt be beaten like the horse who has died on the road to Nazareth!"...SC
