Wiring from an e-line to headlight?

I am hookin up my E-line Stator to an acerbis (3 bulb)headlight. Besides putting a fuse (maybe a 2 amp?) I was thinking about putting in a simple switch in line with the wiring. I do have the voltage regulator hookep up parallel to the E-line output.

My question(s) (besides which size fuse to get) is this: If I wanted to run a switch mounted to the bars (one of those plastic-dought mount units that also has a kill switch & hi-low beam) would this be hooked up inline with the circuit too? The wire gauge seems too thin to be hookeup inline, so would I need a relay? If I decided to hook up the low/high beam switch, would it be more of a PIA ?

thx in advance
